What: Rally to Protest The Keystone XL Pipeline
When: Saturday November 9, 2013 1pm
Where: In front of the East EntranceĀ of the Federal Building, E 9 and Lakeside in Downtown Cleveland

The KXL is a pipeline which would bring dirty Alberta, Canadian tar sands oil through America to be refined in Texas. Scientist have said that if the Alberta tar sands are exploited for energy the result will warm the planet past the point of returning to a stable climate. We have already passed the 350 parts per million of carbon scientist say is the level of carbon we must not pass. We are now near 400 ppm. For the sake of ourselves and future generations, now is the time for us to turn away from exploiting the remaining hard to extract fossil fuels and devote our attention to conservation and renewable energy sources.
